SMS Terms and Conditions

These SMS Terms and Conditions apply to SMS messages sent by Bio Alliances related to emergency health profile access alerts. By affirmatively opting in, completing SMS verification, or otherwise agreeing to receive SMS alerts from Bio Alliances, you agree to these terms.
Program Description
Bio Alliances may send SMS alerts when an emergency health profile is opened by confirmed medical personnel. Messages may include the profile holder's name, the time of access, and, when available, approximate access location information or a map link.
SMS Consent
Emergency contact SMS alerts are sent only to verified phone numbers with stored SMS consent. The public consent workflow and sample disclosure language are available at Bio Alliances SMS Consent.
Bio Alliances also requires approval from the profile holder, or an authorized representative acting on the profile holder's behalf, before an emergency contact phone number is associated with a profile for SMS alert purposes. The SMS recipient must separately consent to receive the alerts at that phone number.
Confirmed medical personnel who access an emergency health profile must acknowledge that they are accessing the information for an authorized purpose and in accordance with applicable privacy requirements. SMS alerts are triggered from these authorized access events and are sent only to consented recipients.
Message Frequency
Message frequency varies. SMS alerts are sent only when relevant emergency health profile access activity occurs. Most recipients should expect only occasional messages.
Opting Out
You can cancel SMS messages at any time by replying STOP where supported by the messaging provider. After you send STOP, you may receive a confirmation message, and then you should no longer receive SMS messages from that SMS program unless you later opt in again.
You may also request removal by contacting info@bioalliances.com. Opting out may prevent future emergency health profile access notifications from being delivered to your phone number.

Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply. Charges are determined by your mobile carrier and your wireless plan. Bio Alliances is not responsible for carrier charges.
Carrier Availability
SMS delivery depends on participating carriers, mobile networks, and device availability. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Bio Alliances does not guarantee that SMS messages will be delivered immediately or at all.
Emergency Limitations
Bio Alliances SMS alerts are informational notifications related to health profile access. They are not a substitute for calling emergency services, obtaining professional medical care, or using official emergency communication channels.
Privacy
Our handling of SMS-related information is described in the Bio Alliances SMS Privacy Policy.
Bio Alliances does not sell, rent, or share SMS opt-in data, phone numbers, or SMS consent information with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Eligibility and Authorized Numbers
You represent that you are the owner or authorized user of the phone number provided, or that you are authorized to provide the phone number as an emergency contact. If your phone number changes or you no longer wish to receive messages, you should opt out or contact us.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these SMS Terms and Conditions from time to time. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
